Sadie
Sadie is seven months of pure golden enthusiasm, and she’s just getting started! Smart, friendly, and already working on her manners, she needs an active home with older kids who can keep up with her and people who have the patience to help a very motivated puppy grow into the great dog she’s going to be.

Hi! I’m Sadie, and I am seven months old and very much still figuring things out. My previous owner loved me and worked hard with me. Puppies don’t always listen, though, and with three grandchildren in the mix, she made the tough call to find me a better fit. I get it. I’m a lot right now! But the good people at Homeward Bound tell me that’s what seven months looks like, and the right home will help me sort it all out.
Here’s what I’ve got going for me: I know sit, wait, and settle already, so I am definitely not starting from scratch. I have good house manners and I am crate trained. I do have a few habits we’re still working on, like grabbing my leash on walks and launching myself at people I’m excited to meet (which is everyone). I also have a very active interest in birds, butterflies, and their shadows. If it moves, I want to chase!
I think other dogs are great and I love to play. Cats, though, are probably not my thing. And kids who are old enough to hold their own around an enthusiastic young golden? I think we’d have a blast together.
I’m looking for an active home with people who know that a little patience now pays off big later. I’m already spayed and fully vaccinated, so I’m ready to walk out the door and straight into the next chapter.
