Nalla

Nalla lost her home through no fault of her own. This couch-cuddling, noodle-nosed girl with a soft heart and searching eyes is looking for a patient family who will let her set the pace, and a canine companion to share the couch with.

  • Sweet, loving girl who is always watching the world with curious eyes; shy at first but warms up quickly
  • Does best with predictable routines and the freedom to set her own pace; good house manners; can be left alone without issue
  • Good with calm, easygoing dogs (needs a dog housemate); Cats OK; Teens OK
  • Needs a patient, perceptive home that will let her unfold on her own terms

Hi! I’m three year old Nalla, and I come with full disclosure: I am a girl who notices things. Every rustling tree, every distant motorcycle, every stranger walking a little too fast on the other side of the street. I notice it all. My previous family meant well, but life there was busy and a lot for me, and eventually we all agreed I deserved a fresh start. The good people at Homeward Bound agreed too, and so here I am.

Here’s what I’d want you to know about me because there is so much more to the story. I am a FUN girl. I am the first one to grab a spot on the couch for movie night. I am the one burrowing my noodle nose between the couch cushions and looking up at you like, can you believe how good this is? I love my people deeply and I am pretty tuned in to what everyone around me is doing, which, yes, is connected to the vigilant part of me, but it also means I can hang. I will cuddle up next to you, wait patiently for you to wake up in the morning, and be right there at your side at dinner when your guests arrive. And yes, I love a good stranger who comes into the house! Pool guy, landscapers, friends for a BBQ…I’m thrilled to meet all of them.

I do best when I have a confident, easygoing dog in the home, someone I can look to when I’m not sure how to feel about something. I’m a respectful housemate who gives everyone their space, and if my dog friends feel like playing, I am absolutely in. Cats and I get along just fine – I’ve proven it! And because I do best with people who understand and respect my pace, where kids are concerned, I would he happiest with teens.

What I’m really looking for is a family who can read my cues, give me a quiet-ish neighborhood, and let me blossom at my own speed. I have come so far already, and I have every reason to keep that progress going in the right home!
