Hi! I’m Reno, and if there’s one thing you should know about me right away, it’s that I am a people person dog. Completely, wholeheartedly, all-in with my people. When I have your attention, I am the happiest, sweetest, most devoted dog you’ve ever met. I came into Homeward Bound a little scared and uncertain, but I warmed up fast. That’s just who I am. Go slow, show me you’re in my corner, and my heart is yours.

I am affectionate, happy, and ready for home. I lived outside at my previous place, so I may need a refresher on house manners but the word is that I know how to use a doggie door. I am good in the car, but afraid of storms, so cuddle with me when that happens and keep me safe.  I walk great on leash but let’s avoid interactions with other dogs. I have strong feelings about some of them, especially if they trash talk. I know sit, down, and stay, and I am very enthusiastic about stuffed animals and a good treat. I’m what they call a lover. At least when it comes to my people.

I’ll be honest with you about a few things. Other dogs and I are not on the best of terms right now. I’d like to be your only dog, please and thank you. Cats and small critters aren’t really my scene either, since I notice things that move and assume they want me to chase. Teens who get me and love to play? Now we’re talking. I have a lot of love saved up, and I am ready to spend it all on you.

I need an active home, someone who wants to get out at least twice a day and really move. I’ll happily be your workout buddy, your hiking partner, or just the dog who makes you feel like a celebrity every time you walk through the door. I’m a three-year-old boy with a lot of good years ahead of me, and I am ready to spend every one of them with you.
