Palmer traveled all the way from China for a fresh start, and this sweet, goofy boy is already winning hearts left and right. Playful, affectionate, and good with most dogs and kids 7+, he needs an active, patient home ready to show him the ropes and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

Hi! I’m Palmer! I came all the way from China for this moment, and I have to say, I think it was absolutely worth the very long trip. Everything here is new and exciting, and honestly, a little overwhelming. Still, the good people at Homeward Bound have been so kind, and the volunteers here? Let’s just say I’ve already made some very devoted fans.

I am a sweet, goofy, enthusiastic, two-year-old boy, and I will not pretend otherwise. When I’m happy, which is most of the time, my whole body gets involved. I might jump a little when I’m excited, so fair warning if you’re wearing something nice! I love being handled and petted. I was introduced to toys, which I adore, and I am an extremely willing student once someone waves a treat in my direction. I even know how to sit! It takes my brain a moment to get there, but it gets there. I walk pretty nicely on a leash for a guy with essentially zero leash experience. A little polish and I’ll be a total pro.

Other dogs? Yes please! I love to run and play, and I’m pretty good at reading the room. Kids 7 and up sound like excellent playmates to me. Cats are a mystery I have not yet solved.

I need an active home with people who are up for daily adventures and who don’t mind putting in a little training time with a very motivated, very food-focused student. I will need some help learning the house rules, but I am so ready. If you want a dog who will make you laugh every single day and charm everyone he meets, I really think I’m your guy. What do you say?
