Hi everyone! I’m Player! And the name fits! I traveled all the way from China to get here, and I have to say, whatever this new life thing is, I am very into it. People, toys, other dogs, food… all of it. Yes, please! I am a one-year-old golden boy, and home life is brand new to me, but I am taking to it fast. I am curious and adaptable, and I love meeting new people, new dogs, new everything. I am also, it must be said, extremely food-motivated. This means I learn quickly! I have already got “sit” completely figured out, and “come” is coming along nicely. I walk pretty well on a leash, and I will bring that ball back to you every single time. I also love a good stuffie. You might spot me scampering around the yard as if I just discovered treasure.

I get along great with other dogs, loose and bouncy and ready to play. Cats… well, I met one, and I will admit that I was a little spooked. But I recovered quickly, and I think with a patient kitty I could probably figure that out, too. Kids 7 and up would make great adventure partners. I do love people more than just about anything. Just a heads-up… maybe don’t approach me holding a bowl of food unless you are ready for some very sincere enthusiasm.

I have a lot of heart and potential, and the good people here at Homeward Bound think I am going to make a lucky family very happy. If you are an active family who loves to play, train, explore, and wind down together at the end of a big day… I think that might be you. What do you say? I am ready today!

I’d love a home that loves to go! Hikes, yard time, adventures, all of it. Active kids 7+ would be great playmates. Cats might be okay, too; we just haven’t completely figured that one out yet. If you’ve got energy to match mine and a couch to crash on at the end of the day, I think we are going to get along very well.
