Hi! I am two-year-old Raymond. I was thrown into a dog pack that none of us chose to be a part of. When it didn’t work out, we all got left at the shelter. Lucky for me, the people there saw through to my heart and got me to Homeward Bound. I am a people-loving and affectionate boy who enjoys play, petting, stuffy toys, and curling up by your side when the day’s adventures are over. My past experience left me a little unsure sometimes, and when I feel that way, I seek reassurance by hugging. Some people don’t appreciate my strong hugs…I get it. I’m working on it. That same experience left me very unsure of other dogs and their intentions. The people here can show you how to manage this by setting me up for success by avoiding forced greetings, putting space between me and passing dogs, and continuing my training with patience and love. I’m in search of sturdy, dog-skilled, and confident humans who see all my good stuff and will help me work on the other stuff as your one and only. I may not be the easiest dog at the start, but I’m a great, loving, and loyal companion who just needs a little help to live my best life.
