Hi, I’m Wallace. I’m a nearly two-year-old boy who bonds deeply to his chosen people. My last family loved me deeply, but they wanted to grow their family with kids, and after everything I’ve been through, little humans and I are not a good match. So, they made the hard choice to bring me here, hoping I’d find the home that fits me best.

I am loyal, playful, and joyful once you get to know me. I’ve got puppy zoomies galore and need daily exercise to burn it off, but once I do, I am the happiest lap dog around, all I want is endless belly rubs and to saddle up beside you. I have a good training foundation and excellent house manners.

New people and new situations can make me nervous at first. I do best when someone I trust introduces me slowly, no rushing, just let me come to you. Once I decide you’re one of my people, I am all in, leaning into you, asking for pets, or curled in your lap. I lived with two dogs and I am very social with most. Cats are a No for me; Kids too. My very first family had a bunch of them and something happened to make me very wary around them and their chaos.

I need sturdy, dog-experienced people who understand that trust takes me a little time and that kids, grandkids, and visiting kids are not going to work for me. If you can live with that, you’ll find I’m well worth it: loving, loyal, adventuresome, and an absolute joy to have around.
