Hi. I’m Ty. I come from a long line of hunting dogs. My former human got be as a puppy because I reminded him of those days but in truth, those days were long behind him. He was pretty old-school and thought that the dog needed to live outdoors. He had me work with trainers, but they were old-school, too. So, the daughter stepped in and convinced everyone that I needed a different family and support. I am very energetic, active, and strong with typical puppy behaviors. We found out that I respond really well to positive reinforcement, and I love being with people. So, if you are willing to invest the time, I am all about the training! I used to do my schooling at a place with other dogs and I have met some here, too. I get along well and want to play. I do have some basic skills, but my puppy brain takes over. The people here think it is partly the environment …there are SO many distractions that I have a hard time focusing and get overstimulated. So I am off to foster to see if that helps. We all agree that the best thing for me is a home where I can settle myself. My reviews on cats are mixed, but full disclosure – I did give chase on one here…so they may not be a great idea for me. I have been around kids, and I think they are awesome, but they need to be older and sturdy to keep up with me. I have all the amazing traits of a well-bred Labrador and will make a great family dog with time and training. I just got a bum start. Can I start over with you?
