Hi there, I’m Thurman! I was found wandering with no collar, no plan, and apparently no interest in staying put, but that chapter’s closed now. I’ve got bigger things in mind, like naps on soft beds and someone to call my own. I’m three years old, built like a golden should be, and I have exactly one speed: go. Walks, fetch, zoomies, more walks, I’m in. If you’ve got a yard, a hiking trail, or just a lot of patience for a young guy figuring out the world, I’m your dog.

I love people. Like, a lot. I lean in for pets, I make eye contact, I basically melt into whoever’s holding the leash. I haven’t quite mastered “polite house guest” yet, the good people here tell me I need to work on my manners, but I’m smart and eager, and I promise I catch on fast once someone shows me the ropes.

Other dogs are right up there with my love of people. I get excited at the fence, I want to play, I want to be friends immediately. A canine sibling would make my whole life. Cats, though? Let’s just say I get a little too interested in the chase, so I think we should keep that a mystery I never solve. Kids are great by me, too, the older, sturdier kind who can keep up with my enthusiasm.

I know I’m a work in progress. I’ve got a few basics down and I’m working on the rest. What I really need is someone active who won’t mind putting in a little training time in exchange for a whole lot of loyalty and love. I promise I’m worth it. So, got room for one more? I’m ready whenever you are!
