I come by my name rightly. I was left in a park to fend for myself. The neighbors all saw me come and go, but I would disappear like a shadow when they tried to approach me. Finally, I was so exhausted and hungry that I came up to a kid and followed him and his family home. That’s how I came to be at Homeward Bound. I’m only one year old, but already, I am working to put my past behind me. It’s gonna take a little time. Being out there alone was scary. Despite being ditched, I genuinely like people, especially if you take the time to get to know me. I like some dogs, but not all, and I have no idea about cats. Older kids would be OK, but the young, fast-moving, loud-talking ones are too much for me right now. I walk pretty well on leash, and I am happy to be by your side where I feel safe. What I need most right now is some peace and quiet and a little space to find myself and my confidence again. I would love for you to help me with that to bring out the joyful boy I know is inside me.
