Hi Everyone! Rocky here. You may have read my story and watched my video with River…but in case you missed it, here’s the recap. I was destined for an unspeakable fate in China until a rescuers intervened. I couldn’t see what was happening, because I am blind. But throughout, I had my friend Rocky by my side. Homeward Bound tried very hard to place us together, but they finally had to let Rocky go ahead when no one raised their hand. We were all sorry, especially me…but I am grateful for the attempt and my own chance at a second chapter. So about me: I am two years old and nearly perfect except for the not-seeing-thing. Everyone says so and I have become a volunteer favorite (shhh…don’t tell the other dogs!). I love to snuggle and be pet; I love play and finding the ball; I walk amazingly well on leash with you as my guide; I share my toys; and I keep a very clean room. I am great with other dogs (don’t know about cats, sorry), and I think kids who understand me would be great. I had a bromance with Rocky, and I miss our play. I need another dog companion and loving people to complete my world. Blind dogs aren’t hard to manage…we just need the furniture to stay put, no open pools, and not too many steps. In exchange, I offer you my full Golden heart.
