Hi! I’m Mindy. Somehow, I got lost (or left behind) and I was found wandering around a feed store. Obviously, I’m very smart…I know where to find food and people who care about animals! A nice person took me home where I got along well with his dogs, but he could not keep me. Lucky for me, the shelter was closed and Homeward Bound was open! No one came to claim me, so here I am, looking for a forever (really, forever!) home. I am three years old and very happy and affectionate. I walk OK on leash but can pull a bit, and I can be a little jumpy when excited – so you need to be steady on your feet! I am active and love to play with balls and toys. I know “drop it” and “sit” but that’s about it for formal schooling. At Homeward Bound, I have been a little choosy about my dog friends…maybe it’s because there are quite a few, maybe I just require a longer introduction, or maybe I just want to pick my own friends! I don’t know about cats, I think I would be good with sturdy kids (that jumping thing!). The kids can help me get my energy out, and you can just enjoy snuggling with me! Oh…and don’t forget training. Everyone here says that is the key to a lasting love match!
