Hi. I’m Magic…a girl Magic. I am four years old and was found wandering in the Central Valley. It’s a familiar tale there, sadly. I was picked up by the dog police and thankfully, Homeward Bound said I could come with them. I don’t look like it, but I actually do have Golden in me. The rest is a striking sable coat. I’m a looker! I can’t give you a lot about my back story – we’ll have to write that together. But I’m a confident, affectionate, yet, independent girl who enjoys my time with people. I’m less thrilled about other dogs. Maybe there was something in my past that made me feel this way, but I can be very reactive on leash or when a dog intrudes upon my space. I need a confident, experienced, and sturdy person to guide me. No cat has been brave enough to chance it, but we all kind of suspect my thoughts about them are similar! I’m looking for a dog and cat-less home with sturdy people with good dog experience willing to invest time and training to bring out the best part of me: Golden Retriever! It might include some big, sturdy kids as long as it’s the grown-ups handling me out and about.
