Hi! I'm Lucky! I am a three-and-a-half year old boy who lost his dad to triple trouble: Lost job, lost marriage, lost home. He raised me from a puppy and clearly loved me, but he knew he couldn't care for me anymore, so he asked Homeward Bound to help. I am house trained, active, playful, and a total love bug who wants nothing more than to snuggle with you once my zoomies are worked out. It's easy to work out my zoomies because I love to play with my ball and toys. and I love adventures! I am good in the car, have some basic skills, and live for doggy-day-out adventures with my volunteer friends here. I had a pretty sheltered life, sticking close to home with no other animals in my life except the squirrels that I chased. It was a small world, and I am not ashamed to say that I was kind of scared of the changes when my dad said goodbye. I have been working on getting more comfortable in a much bigger world filled with other animals and unexpected happenings. Still a work in progress, I warn off other dogs who get too close, and I can get startled if someone approaches me unexpectedly. I just need some space from other dogs and for you to guide my introduction to strangers. Once you give the green light,  I am a real charmer, happy to welcome new meet people into my world…especially if they like to give belly rubs!  I am looking for a good, dog-savvy, and kind human or humans who will continue this journey to confidence with me, staying aware of my surroundings and helping me to feel safe until I feel sure. My ideal home is as your one and only in a place that's not filled with other dogs who bark at me or give me side-eye! In return, you get a young, stunning boy who leans in for love.
