Hello! I'm Joey. A one-year-old bundle of energy and fun! Somewhere along the way, I lost my home, or it lost me. A kind person took me in and helped me get to Homeward Bound. I feel lucky to be here, but truth be told, it's probably not the best place for young dog like me. I don't like trash-talking big boy dogs in my face…and I will let them know! I seem to be OK with girl dogs, especially mellow ones. They call it dog-selective. I call it smart! The dog I am on doggy-day-outs is completely different from the dog I show people here. You should read my reports…I do great! I can walk nicely by other dogs, greet people with a wagging tail (and sometimes…a jump…working on it!) I'm quiet as a lamb in the car, and I absolutely LOVE swimming. I have a few skills, but have some other things I need to catch up on. Like getting too jumpy and grabby when I am over-excited. For now, Homeward Bound thinks I would be best with grown-ups so they can help work some of those puppy antics out of me. I might be OK with one of those chill girl dogs to help guide me, but not a boy dog – especially not a trash talker! I'm excited to find my humans and to have a chance to live in a home where I am not so stressed out. My report says it: when I am in a quiet environment, I go to the head of the class. Wanna help me graduate?? Let's go.
