  • Good with most nice dogs; Cats may be OK; Kids 5+ OK
  • Great family dog, devoted to her people with a typical loyal Lab personality

OK…I may have lost a little of my youthful figure, but it’s probably due to my giant Lab heart! I’m Grace. Sometimes called Gracie. I am eight years old…a little on the chunky side, and 100% adorable! No, I’m not winking at you. That’s my third eyelid (dogs have them!) which  is a little wonky. Doc says it’s no problem at all. My person had to say goodbye to me when she could no longer take care of me or herself. It was heartbreaking for both of us, but I am looking at the bright side. Doc says I can have a new lease on life if I shed a few pounds so we are working on it! I am house-trained and have good manners. I walk well on leash but don’t let my maturity fool you…I’m still a strong girl so you need to be steady on your feet! It’s obvious that I love my chow and treats, but Homeward Bound says that my new people will have to take an oath to follow my strict diet and moderate walking routine to help me regain my girlish figure and the pep in my step. Instead of treats, we can just do snuggles and pets…my second favorite thing! I like most other nice dogs, may be OK with the family cat, and would love some kids or grandkids to call my own! I’m a great family dog with a loyal Lab personality in search of a place to call home.
