Hi! I’m Glacier! I am a three-year-old Golden boy who got picked up by the dog police for vagrancy and no one claimed me. I wish I could tell you my life story or why I am the boy I am…but let’s just focus on what is. You might find me nervous when we first meet. Give me a little time and show me your heart, and a completely different side of me comes out. It’s the same when I meet new dogs. I just don’t know what to expect of people or dogs until they show me their intentions. When I know you, you will find me to be an active, energetic, and affectionate boy. I’m as choosy about my dog friends as I am about my humans…I prefer them to be chill and easy, not overly rambunctious. Since I have zero training and am a proven escape artist, I suspect I was with people before who didn’t really think of the dog as a full member of the family…and didn’t much care where they were! And that’s what I really want, deep down in my heart. Security, safety, kindness, and love from people who will watch over me, invest their time and attention in me, and help me to feel so confident that I am secure and cared for that I have no desire to ever wander again. Cats? I don’t know about them. But responsible, sturdy kids who will help me get my zoomies out (and never leave the gate open!) would be great. What do you say? Could we build my confidence and a life together? Just ask for Glacier. I’m waiting!
