Daisy
Affectionate, loving and well-trained, Daisy was raised with love and two small children. She bonds tightly with her humans and while well-socialized to other dogs, she would prefer to be your whole world in the home – because you will be hers. Good with kids, cats and dogs friends who live elsewhere – all she needs is you!

Daisy is a beautiful 11-month-old Golden girl, raised with love and two small children. She is well-socialized and adapts quickly to new people and situations. She came to Homeward Bound as a puppy with ectopic ureters – affectionately known around here as a “pee girl” (the ureter does not connect correctly to the bladder causing leaking.) Daisy was fostered for three months with two dog friends before undergoing a highly specialized surgery at UC Davis – one of the few hospitals in the country that provides it. The surgery, and an inexpensive daily medication, were curative. Last Spring, she went home with a family of two adults, two children, a dog and two cats. She went to work daily with mom. Her world was complete. Until it wasn’t.
Daisy is a girl who bonds tightly to her person and mom was her person. When her mom’s world got turned upside down, so did Daisy’s. Suddenly, spending all day with the family dog instead of mom, she became jealous of his wish to share attention and affection. While Daisy has many dog friends, she will be happier not living with one so she can be the center of attention.
Currently at foster, Daisy displays everything we knew about her: She is house, potty, and crate-trained. She has excellent house and leash manners. While her first greetings are enthusiastic, she settles quickly and knows all her basic commands. Well-trained, Daisy is good with children and dog-experienced cats. She can be safely left alone for a reasonable time. She is loyal, loving, and wants nothing more than to be by your side.
Daisy’s medication should be given twice daily on a regular 12-hour interval to prevent any dribbling. Now, the only thing leaking from Daisy is love – and the only thing she is missing is you!
