Howdy, folks! I’m Cowboy, a five-year-old Lab and Husky mix with some trail dust on my boots (okay, paws) and a heart bigger than my eighty-odd pounds. I’ve been in a home before, and when a tiny human started getting around on their own, it was time to find a spot that fits a big guy like me. So here I am, back where the hat hangs, ready to ride into the next chapter.

Let me tell you about my perfect day. It starts with a long run, the kind where your legs are happy and the whole world smells like adventure. Then we hit the water, because I’ll swim anywhere it’s wet: lake, pool, ocean, you name it. I’ve even ridden a paddleboard, standing proud at the front like the figurehead on a ship. By evening we’re camped under the stars, I’ve waited politely for your ‘ok’ before diving into dinner, and I’ve settled my big head in your lap, because I happen to be an expert in emotional support. I know my manners too, and yes, I’ll shake on it.

I grew up around other dogs, so I’ll probably find common ground with most. I’m friendly with new people, and I’d be glad to meet kids ages 10 and up. Cats, I’ll be honest, might look an awful lot like squirrels to me, so I’d skip that roommate.
