Chloe
Unlucky in love but still a believer, Chloe is a gentle girl is in search of a calm and quiet home (maybe with kitties and sturdy kids) with people who understand a shy dog and have the time to devote to her.
- Loving girl in search of a quiet and calm home
- Golden Retriever and Pyrenees mix; sensitive and gentle
- Dog Selective; May be OK with a gentle, accepting dog
- Has lived with two cats; OK for Kids 10+
- Needs a training refresher course and people who are able to devote time and attention to her
My name is Chloe and I have been unlucky in love. My people got another dog and decided that two dogs was one dog too many. So here I am. Homeward Bound tells me not to give up on love – it’s out there for me. We just have to find the right home. I am trying very hard to keep the faith. I am five years old and a Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix. I’m a gentle, sensitive girl – a little timid at first but grateful for your love and attention and happy to return it. When I was first adopted, I got along with other dogs. Now, if they bark at me or the other dog I lived with, that upsets me. Maybe it’s part of my protective Pyrenees nature, or maybe I just needed more training. I wasn’t always this way. I am OK with nice, polite dogs. My skills have become a little rusty. A refresher training course would help boost my confidence and strengthen our bond. I don’t want to end up homeless and heartbroken again, so let me tell you about my ideal home: quiet, calm, maybe with a gentle dog or kitty (I lived with two kitties), and older kids who understand how to treat a shy girl and will keep me safe. I’m a big girl, so my people should be sturdy, and most important, they should understand that a dog is not disposable and treat me like family. The people here say that’s really not too much to ask; I don’t want to be too picky. But I’m keeping the faith that you are out there and in search of me.
