Chance

  • Active, fun-loving boy with great energy
  • Takes a minute to warm up, then leans in for love
  • Good house manners; crate trained; has some skills but needs continued training as all young dogs do
  • Selective of his dog friends; May be OK with cat; Kids 10+ OK
  • Looking for a family to love and adventure with

Hello people! I’m Chance, a one-and-a-half-year-old Golden mix boy. I lost my way somewhere in the Central Valley (happens to a lot of us there). Thankfully, a good Samaritan found me and took me home. She looked for my people but no one came forward. That happens a lot there, too. I was grateful for the help and displayed my good house manners and friendliness with kids. There was a cat there, too. I could use more work on that, but may be OK with the right cat and a good introduction. It takes me a bit to trust new people. Not surprising having been dumped. But once I get to know you, I just lean in for love. I soak up attention and can be very silly, playful, and a little jumpy if truth be told. I’m still young and full of energy. I love playing with stuffies and when I have worn myself out, I will climb into your lap. I hope you have a big one! Oh…and I am crate-trained too! I have some basic skills but need continued training like all dogs do. We can do that together. I’m still unsure about other dogs. I seem more drawn to the girls and calm, older boys. Young boys are too much like me! I’m hoping to find people or a family that understands about youngsters like me, will complete my training, never-ever loses me, and will include me in a life of fun and adventuring once my schooling is done. Is that you? I’m here and ready to go! Come get me!
