Hi! I'm Calder. I'm still a puppy at eight months old and I have traveled a very long way to start a new life…all the way from China! If you haven't heard, it's not a very good place to be a big dog. Not that I'm that big…but I am still growing a bit. I'm so grateful for this second chance and I plan to spend it telling you each and every day how happy I am! Like all puppies, I am active and playful. I do need daily exercise to get the zoomies out, and full disclosure…where I came from, no one lives in a home or cares about potty training. So,  there will be some catching up to do. I like other dogs – especially play. But I can be a little ruff and rowdy. If you have a young dog that needs tiring out…I can do that. If you have a little more mature dog to guide me, that's good too! I have learned what toys are…amazing! You need to watch me around the soft ones which I might love to death. But I also love balls and indestructibles. I don't know a thing about cats but I think sturdy kids would be awesome! Maybe we can exchange language lessons…I don't know much English yet besides "treat!" Life is already so much better but the volunteers around here tell me the best is yet to come and I believe them!
