Bruno
Bruno needs about twenty minutes to trust you, and then you’re his for good. He’s easygoing with other dogs, great with most kids, and just waiting for someone patient enough to earn that first head-on-the-leg moment.

Hi there! I’m Bruno, a three-year-old golden boy who’s ready for a life of my very own. Up until recently, home meant my littermate brother Rufus and me getting into all kinds of trouble together, and the two of us can get a little rowdy when we’re side by side! I think being near him gives me a boost of confidence, but the good people here think I’m ready to spread my wings and bond closely with people all on my own.
I’ll admit it: when you first meet me, I might give you a look like “who is this?” I take a few minutes to warm up to someone new. But stick with me: after about twenty minutes, I turn into a completely different guy. I’ll rest my head on your leg, climb up for pets, and decide you’re way more interesting than anything else in the yard. I’m easy to walk on a leash (no harness needed!), I already know Sit, Down, and Give Paw, and I’m smart, just not the type trying to outwit my people.
I do have one quirk: loud noises like fireworks in the distance make me want to make a break for it, so I need a secure yard and owners who stay diligent about that. Otherwise, I’m pretty low-maintenance. I take treats gently, release my toys without a fuss, don’t guard my food, and I’m easy to brush. I’m calm around other dogs on leash and made a great new friend during a recent introduction, showing off polite, bouncy play without getting too rowdy. I don’t know much about cats, but I think kids would be great, and I even like to be petted while I sit in the pool! Heads up: I mostly lived in the yard and may need a house refresher.
I know I take a minute to trust, but once I do, I’m all in. Hang with me for a few and make some room in your lap for a guy who leans in hard once he’s comfortable. I’d love to meet you.
