Brodie
Brodie is looking forward to being an inside dog and a full member of the family. Best as the only dog in the home for now, he will thrive with people who are willing to invest the time, attention, and love he’s been missing.
- Friendly, people-loving boy
- A little unsure of himself still; needs patient people willing to show him the life he has missed
- Walks well on leash but lacks training; will need to catch up on house skills
- Possessive of toys and likely food
- Can be with other dogs without toys involved but not live with one; Cats Unknown; Kids 13+
- Affectionate and trusting of people, he needs people who will show him the way
Hi! I’m Brodie. I’m just one year old and a classic case of if you didn’t really want a dog, why’d you get one? I lived outside despite being afraid of storms, and have zero training. I was banished for not getting along with the other unneutered dog in the house. Guess what typically happens when you put two unneutered boys together??! The people here say it’s all for the best and I’m gonna believe them because they tell me that dogs are supposed to live inside, supposed to be loved, supposed to be trained, and supposed to be neutered so they aren’t driven nuts by hormones (whatever those are!). He is a little shy and unsure of things because this is all new to me. But I am friendly, affectionate, and trusting of people. I’m OK with other dogs when there is no prize between us like food and toys. I never learned how to properly share. For that reason, the people here say that while I can play with other dogs, I shouldn’t live with one. I don’t seem to have a problem trading my toys with people, so older kids who understand about these things would be great. Full disclosure: I’m gonna need to catch up on my house skills, so I need patient people who will work with me on this. That means treating me like a puppy until I get the hang of it! Am I worth it? You betcha! Come on…let’s go!
