Bailey

Bailey is a sweet, loving boy who lost his home when his people needed help of their own. Well-loved, raised and cared for, he seeks a home where light play and walking are also part of his new regime to recover his handsome figure and return his smile.

  • Initially shy, a loving 6-year-old boy devoted to his people
  • Great house manners; easy to manage; has basic commands; does well with groomer
  • Overweight because his yard was not safe and owners could not walk him; walks well on leash; enjoys swimming
  • Good with other nice dogs; OK with Cats but may chase those that run; Kids 13+ OK
  • Well-raised and much loved; lost his home when his people needed help of their own

Hi everyone. I am six-year-old Bailey and I am not myself right now. Here’s why: I loved and was loved by my family, but they had to go live in a place where they could get more help and dogs like me were not allowed. I’m kind of sad, a little lost, and while I appreciate Homeward Bound’s care, all these barky dogs are making me feel a bit overwhelmed. I miss my quiet life and hope to find one again soon.

I’m a sweet, shy, and low-key boy who is great with people after a slow introduction. I come with excellent house manners, crate-training, and a good training foundation. I walk well on leash and love to swim – both things that will help me regain my youthful figure. (My people weren’t able to exercise me, so I admit to packing on a few pounds.) I’m a loyal companion, easy to manage, and I love spending quiet time with my people. I just need a little time to adjust to a new home and new people.

Other nice dogs like me could be my friends….heck, I even appreciate the little ones. I have been acquainted with cats but do like to play and chase in fun, so kitty needs to be up for that. I’ve never lived with kids. The little ones would probably be a lot for me, but older ones should be fine.

I have been well-raised and well-loved and am hopeful that someone will see through my shy, sad eyes and help me find my happiness again. Is that with you?
