Blaze
Blaze turned up with no map, no plan, and a tail that has not stopped wagging since. This easygoing two-year-old wants a family that fills the day with walks and games, then saves the evening for the couch…kids welcome!

Hi everyone! I’m Blaze, a two-year-old Golden with a great name and no paperwork to go with it. Somehow, I became a stray in the Central Valley (happens a lot there for some reason) and the good people here say that chapter is closed. Suits me fine. I’m more of a what’s-for-dinner-and-who’s-that-over-there kind of guy anyway.
My hello is a full-body event. I aim my shoulder at your knee and settle in as if we’ve been pals for years. Fetch is my favorite way to say thanks, and I can already sit and hold a down-stay, which I think deserves a medal, or at least a cookie. Walking is still in need of a little perfection, but I’m up to the challenge. The world smells amazing and I’d like to read all of it at once, so we’ll be doing our practice in a harness.
I’m not one of those rowdy guys with other dogs. I like a calm hello and a little time to figure each other out. I’ve only met one cat so far and things were pretty iffy on that score…so let’s not push it. Kids sound like exactly my kind of people.
I’m hoping for a family that keeps moving: morning walks, afternoon games, maybe an evening stroll if the mood strikes. Bring your enthusiasm and a little patience and I’ll bring the rest. You don’t need years of dog experience, just a good heart and comfortable shoes. Is that you?
