Hi there, I’m Yeti! Yes, like the legend, minus the mysterious footprints and plus about ninety-three pounds of very real Golden Retriever. My family had to move, and I apparently don’t fit in a suitcase, so here I am starting a whole new adventure.
Here’s the thing about me: I’m a total pushover…in the best way! I’m of a grown-up age. I’m gentle, easygoing, and honestly just want to make you happy. So, if you’re new to the dog game, I’m about as low-drama as it gets. No need to start from scratch. The hard work has already been done for you! I’ve got some solid manners already in my back pocket, though I wouldn’t turn down a little refresher course, mostly as an excuse to get extra treats and spend more time bonding with my new crew. I walk beautifully on leash and when I meet someone new, my tail does most of the talking.
Kids and I get along great, I’m basically a big blonde teddy bear, but given my size, I’d appreciate it if the littles admired me from a respectful distance rather than using me as a jungle gym. I’m good with other dogs too, cool and friendly. Cats, though? Total mystery. Nobody’s made the introduction yet, so we’ll call that a choose-your-own-adventure situation. Health-wise, I arrived with some lumps and bumps which Homeward Bound banished, and I have some aches and pains typical of a guy my age, but Doc has given me the all-clear. I’m not going to be going on mountain hikes or tackling long staircases…but gentle walks and a few steps? All good!
What I’m really after is a family that’s got room for a big, soft, goofy heart that just wants to be wherever you are. I’ve got plenty of good years left, and I’d love to spend them with you.
