Eliana

Eliana greets every day like it’s the best one yet…it’s the kind of joy that’s contagious from the moment she meets you. She’s learning to take her cues from calmer dogs in the yard, and just needs an active family with kids 13 and up to help her finish the job.

  • Bursting with joy and always thrilled to meet someone new
  • A petite tomboy with energy to burn
  • Knows sit, down, and roll over. Leash manners are still a work in progress
  • OK with calm, patient and tolerant dogs; Cats Unknown; Kids 13+ OK
  • Needs an active household who wants to match her energy

Hi, I’m Eliana. My start wasn’t easy. Someone set me out on my own but obviously never paid much attention to begin with: my old collar had grown embedded into my neck by the time anyone found me. I looked like Frankendog when they removed it. That’s all behind me now, and these days – happiness is basically my default setting.

I’m two years old and about as joyful as a dog gets. My days revolve around treats, new friends, and my growing collection of stuffed toys scattered around the yard. Treats are my true love, more than any toy, though don’t tell my stuffed animal collection I said that.

I’m a social girl at heart, and I’m working on my dog-to-dog skills with a little help from the calmer pups around me. Given time and the right guidance, I catch on fast.

My leash manners still need some work, I pull hard when I spot someone interesting, though I’m eager to improve. Cats probably aren’t my strong suit since I tend to want to chase them. Given how enthusiastically I greet people, kids 13 and up would handle my exuberance best. An active family willing to finish my leash training and keep introducing me to new dogs the right way is exactly what I’m hoping for.
