Milo

Milo is puppy energy with the best of intentions: he wants to be everyone’s friend, he just hasn’t quite learned the rules of the game yet. Patient people willing to coach him along will find a total sweetheart underneath all that enthusiasm.

  • Adorable nine-month-old Golden puppy with a big heart for play!
  • Had a rough start and arrived scared of his shadow but bounced back quickly once he felt safe
  • Needs trustworthy, committed humans who know how to raise and socialize a young dog and will go at his pace – which is full speed ahead once he feels comfortable
  • Full of wiggles. He loves toys, treats, and pets! House trained and knows some basic commands
  • Social with dogs but still learning how to navigate all their personalities; Has lived with cats; OK for Kids 7+
  • Special affection for young girl dogs! He’s quite the Cassanova!

Hey there, I’m nine-month-old Milo. I had kind of a ruff start, including being mistaken for a service dog. Hello…I’m only a puppy! Thankfully, a nice person intervened on my behalf. No hard feelings on my end; I’m just a puppy figuring out where I belong.

You can expect plenty of puppy antics. Toys and treats make my whole world light up, and my tail does this tiny, happy wag whenever someone new comes around. Some basic commands like Sit and Down are already in my toolkit.

I want desperately to play with every dog I meet, but I’ll admit that I missed some socialization steps and my skills are still developing. Sometimes I retreat to a corner before I work up the nerve. Sometimes…with the perfect playmate, I’m ready to rock n roll! (Girl dogs are my medicine!). Kids 7 and up sound like great company, too.

What I need is a family who understands I just want to be a dog – not a service dog – and I have some catching up to do. Help me build my confidence and keep teaching me the basics, and you’ll find a wonderful companion in here somewhere; just give me the time to grow into him.
