Hi, I’m Bo. I’m a two-year-old Golden boy whose story you can help write. I was on my own for a while until the nice dog police picked me up for vagrancy and asked Homeward Bound to parole me. I was a bit of a hot mess on arrival, but the dog doc got me patched up and feeling like myself again. Turns out that underneath all that mess was a big, handsome guy just waiting to be noticed.
What I do know is that I love people. I’ll lean right into you for pets and make eye contact like you’re the most interesting thing in the room. ‘Cause to me, you are! I’ve met a lot of dogs here without making a fuss because truth be told, I would rather go say hello to the humans. With the pack, I don’t put pressure on anybody and I’m happy just sharing space.
Balls? They are my whole world. If you throw one for me, I am not giving it back, so please don’t take it personally. I have a lot of energy and play helps me burn off the zoomies! I’m still learning how to walk well on leash and do better with a harness. I’m also working on my treat taking, so gentle hands and some patience go a long way with me. My time out there on my own taught me to eat like every meal is my last; a slow bowl helps a lot! Hopefully, none of these are deal breakers because they are nothing a little training and structure can’t fix.
I’d love an active family that loves adventures. Older kids who want to help with training and play? Sign me up! I will happily live with most other dogs but don’t require one. But cats? I think we should skip them. I get a little too interested in chasing things that move fast.
I’m handsome, I’m affectionate, and I’m ready to work hard for the right family. If you’ve got the energy to match mine and the patience to help me learn the ropes, I would love to meet you.
