Hi everyone! I am Samantha. I am a seven-year-old beauty: part Golden, part Great Pyrenees. I guess my good looks are a blessing and a curse: they caused me to be a mom many times over. Don’t get me wrong…I raised beautiful puppies. But that gig can get old! When someone decided my puppy days were over, they just put me out on the streets. I was lucky enough to be picked up by the nice dog police…not all of us get that break. Homeward Bound said I could come here to start my next chapter and find my forever home.
Here’s what you should know: I am a sweet and easy girl who loves being with people. I am chill in the kennel, even with all those other rowdy dogs. I keep a clean room, walks well on a leash, and while I don’t have a lot of formal training in anything other than puppy raising, I am pretty easy to manage and willing to learn…especially if treats are involved! I had a mammary mass removed. They are unfortunately common for un-spayed girls. But Homeward Bound took care of that and ensured no future puppies…so all good!
I have been introduced to other dogs here. I am accepting – to a point. Honestly, if you spent as much time as I have in forced blind dates, you would feel the same. So don’t worry about me around other dogs with you by my side…I just don’t really want to live with one. I’m not sure about cats…but will chase small critters…so probably a ‘no.’ But I have plenty of mom experience, so sturdy human kids would be great.
I have the best of both breeds in me: loving, affectionate, and loyal to my tribe. I would love to live out my next chapter in a quiet home, with a soft bed, and a little spoiling…if you don’t mind! Around here, they say I have earned it.
