Hi, I’m Doug! I’m two years old, full of energy, and completely obsessed with people. Toss a ball for me once and you’ve made a friend for life. I’ll chase it down, bring it back, and drop it right in your lap because, obviously, we’re doing that again!

I’m a toy guy at heart. I know how to “drop it” and I’ll trade you fair and square for another toy or a treat. I haven’t made it into the big pool yet, but the baby pools are already a hit, so I think I’ve got a swimmer in me somewhere.

I’m still a young guy figuring myself out, which means I’ve got a couple of things I’m working on. I pull on the leash when I get excited and I can get a little grabby with treats. I’d also just always appreciate a little space around my food and favorite toys. It’s simply my thing, and dog-smart people who respect that will find me easygoing about everything else.

Other dogs are another growth area for me. I’ve had genuinely great play sessions with a couple of girls here, but I don’t do well with every dog, especially the ones who get in my face and trash talk (would you??!!). I will do best as the only dog in the house, with people who can read me well and won’t force introductions I’m not ready for.

If you’re experienced with dogs, don’t have kids in your house or future, and want a loyal and loving boy who is always up for an adventure…I’m your guy. Give me structure and exercise and I’ll give you everything I’ve got, tail wagging the whole time!
