Hello good people. I’m Oso. At five years of age, I found myself in a shelter. Something about an unauthorized walkabout. It’s in my nature. I’m a Golden boy with some kind of guardian breed added in for good measure…and when we get bored, we like to roam! I’m a playful, loving boy who makes a great companion for grown up people. I can be quite affectionate and lean in for love, but I’m also independent, seeking you out but in my own way and time. I do best in an adult-only home with home bodies like me who seek quiet companionship without suffocating closeness. I get nervous when cornered or confined, which is why kids are too much for me. I hope you understand. Their rushing up, hugging, and lack of appreciation for personal space just makes be uncomfortable. I can be social with other nice dogs with mindful introductions, but I prefer not to live with one and to choose my own friends instead of having them thrust upon me. I absolutely love to go on walks with you, or hang out while we do yard work…just please don’t leave me alone unsupervised in the yard for long periods. It’s that getting bored thing! If you have been on the hunt for a well-mannered, loyal friend to share your life with – look no further! Just ask for Oso!
