Nova

A curious but shy girl who has given up breeding for a chance at a real life. Nova will fully blossom with time, a doggy friend, and your patient and loving care to guide her.

  • Gentle and shy two-year-old former breeding girl
  • Curious but timid, she will blossom with patience and TLC
  • Everything is new to her; needs help gradually opening her world to all she has missed
  • Good with most nice dogs; Cats Unknown; Kids 10+
  • Would benefit from another dog in the home to help show her the way

Nova is one of a large group of breeder dogs rescued recently by Homeward Bound. She and her companions lived outside in dirt with very little human socialization. She is sweet and curious but a little timid still as she adjusts to her new world – but put her in the yard and she transforms into a happy, playful, adorable girl. She is highly food-motivated, making her training easier. Nova will likely need house manners and house training; treat her like a puppy and she’ll catch on quickly. She will need patient people, a quiet space to call her own, and perhaps a doggie sibling to guide her. She will be a great addition to families who are willing to take the time and effort to help her reach her full potential.
