This young boy with the goofy smile and grateful heart is ready to begin a new chapter – leaving the country of his birth far behind. Very social with other dogs, a little shy at first with humans, Miles will gladly open his heart once you show him yours.

Hi new world. My name is Miles. I know….you’re all laughing at my silly smile. Well, if you came from where I did, you’d be amazed that I could smile at all! I am so grateful to the rescuers in China and Homeward Bound for giving me a chance at life. It’s true, I have been through a lot – but I am still young at two years of age and making great progress in putting that all behind me. I am still unsure about new people until I get to know them…it’s understandable. But I warm up quickly with a gentle introduction, and I understand your good intentions. I understand dogs much better and have found new joy in playgroup! They call me a playgroup rock star! I would love to have another dog companion to guide me and help build my confidence in this big, wide new world. I don’t know about those things they call cats…I haven’t found one brave enough to meet me yet. But I think sturdy kids could be a joy to look forward to as long as the home is not too loud and hectic. I have to confess, I’m a blank slate when it comes to training. No one cared a bit about that where I came. So, we’ll have to start at the beginning, but I have a grateful heart and a willingness to learn. I’m excited to begin this next, blessed, chapter in my life. Just ask for Miles with the goofy smile! I’m waiting for you!
