Hi! I’m Rex! I am a one-year-old puppy in a dog’s body. When a little human moved into my new home…I got moved out. So here I am at Homeward Bound working hard at learning how to be a grown-up dog in a grown-up body! I am an active, fun-loving, and playful boy who enjoys all kinds of activities including car rides, swimming, and I just know I would be a great hiker if given the chance. When I am tired, I will snuggle up and do whatever contortions are necessary to get you to pet me! I still have some puppy traits that didn’t get worked out early, so I need someone dog-savvy and sturdy who is committed to completing my education. Two things are at the top of my need-to-know list. First: I can still be a bit mouthy and jumpy when I get over excited. Second…I didn’t learn how to properly interact with other dogs as a puppy, and I can get grabby and pushy with dogs when I get over-stimulated. For this reason, Homeward Bound wants me to go home as the only pet (cats probably wouldn’t appreciate my grabbiness, either). I need to be closely monitored around other dogs while we work on these things together. I’m happy to put in the effort if you will too. Your reward for the hard work? A super-affectionate boy with a big personality, who is always up for an adventure, and adores spending time with humans.
