Flynn

One person’s trash is another’s treasure. Flynn may have arrived looking sad and bedraggled, but his heart is golden and untarnished. With TLC and the good care of our vets, he is on the road to recovery and looking for a quiet retirement home and a companion to share it with.

  • Kind-hearted, forgiving, Velcro boy
  • Loves the company and attention of people; happy to return the love and devotion
  • Recovering from surgery; the aches and pains of a dog who was not well cared for but on the mend and so grateful
  • OK with another gentle dog but just as happy to have you all to himself; Cats Unknown; Teenage Kids OK
  • Ideal retirement home is quiet, calm, with few stairs, and lots of love

Hi…I’m Flynn. I was found abandoned on a back road and arrived at Homeward Bound a hot mess. I guess someone decided that eight-year-old dogs are for throwing away. I was skinny and limping with one bad knee, dry eye, anemia, bad teeth, and the sweetest, most loving and forgiving personality ever. Just ask anyone. Everyone will vouch for me, here. In fact – I get special treatment and spend most of my day hanging out under the feet of my best friend, Homeward Bound’s president. (Don’t tell the other dogs!) The people here gave me the spa treatment and I got fixed up with the help of some awesome vet friends. My leg had surgery and is getting stronger every day, but I need to continue my gentle exercise to rebuild my muscle. I am currently recovering in the new medical ward between two loud mouths when I am not hanging out with the president. They are nice enough dogs…but geez! I wouldn’t mind another dog friend, but I would like them to be more like me. Gentle, dainty, sweet…and quiet! My ideal retirement home is one with few steps and people who value and appreciate the “golden years” – and the attention of a Velcro companion dog. I still have so much love to give.
