I’m Lola! Not the show girl Lola – the lucky to be here Lola! Somehow, I got left to fend for myself on the hot streets in the Central Valley. That’s not nice to do to a 10-year-old girl – especially to a girl as nice as me! I arrived at the shelter exhausted and overheated – and let me tell you, a shelter is no place for a girl of my age! Thankfully, Homeward Bound said I could come here and scooped me up. I must have been neglected for a while because the dog doc ordered a series of medicated baths. They have made a world of difference, and I am starting to feel like a loved dog again. And I’m super easy to love. I’m what they call a gentle and dainty, easy-peasy girl. I get along with other nice dogs and would be fine with kids who are old enough not to jump on me. I don’t know about cats. I’m good on a walk and am affectionate and kind-hearted. I’m hoping to find a family that appreciates a sugar face and the sweet heart that goes with it. And to make it even easier – Homeward Bound says I can go home as a Permanent Foster. That means that if you live within 50 miles, my medical needs will be taken care of for life. You just need to provide the love. What’s not to love about that?
