Hi everyone. It’s Lucas here. At ten years old I was found lost and wandering. The nice dog police gave me a lift to the shelter, and that began my amazing transformation. When found, I had terrible skin, a lot of bald spots, and horrible hurting ears. I had one of those things called microchips…but no one claimed me. The people at Homeward Bound said it was for the just as well ‘cause I deserved better. I have to agree! They started me on a regiment of medicated baths and treated my ears for infections before sending me to foster so I could recover in comfort and prove my most excellent house manners. My skin looks and feels so much better, and my new soft and fluffy coat has almost fully grown back. I am almost unrecognizable! My foster mom says I am an awesome boy who, despite being neglected, must have been raised well and loved once. I am very easy in the home and an excellent companion. I enjoy gentle walks, and mostly, I just want to be by your side. I don’t have any separation anxiety or other bad habits. I’m very friendly and happy to meet new people and other nice dogs. I don’t know about cats, but because I am so gentle and easy, I have been approved for kids of all ages. I don’t require much – just people to love and be loved by and a soft place to land in my golden years. If you know anything about Labs, you know that we have forever loyal hearts.
