Hi. I’m Goose. I’m a one and a half year old ladies man…but not in the way you are thinking. Well…I was intended to be that kind of ladies man; I came from a big place where my only job was to help make mini-me’s. I am a shy boy and apparently wasn’t good at that, so I came to Homeward Bound. Where I came from wasn’t an especially good place and my experiences there were only with male humans. They were kind of scary to me. But women? Well, that’s another story. This place is full of them and once I figured out I was safe with them, all I wanted was their attention. You should know that little humans are also kind of scary to me. I am a gentle, boy who would never hurt a fly, but all that running around makes me nervous and I just want to hide. In the company of women and dogs, I am a different boy. I absolutely love other dogs and am always up for play! Cats? I’m not sure, but I recently lived with a bunny and we were fast friends. Though I am shy and sometimes fearful, I don’t have an ounce of mean in my little body. Where I was until recently, I learned all about indoor manners and gained some good skills. I am house and potty trained, love to go on walks, and am very snuggly and affectionate…with the woman of the house. I just never got comfortable with the man. So, Homeward Bound is helping me look for my ideal home: one with a woman human and another friendly dog to help me with my confidence (an absolute must for me!). Bonus: a teenage girl who adores dogs and needs a cuddle companion. If there are men or other older kids, they must understand that this is a long process of building trust with me. I want to put my past fully behind me, but I need help and time. So please don’t take it personally if it doesn’t happen quickly. But when you see me feeling comfortable, playful, and snuggly, your heart will fill because you’ll know that you have truly changed the life of this rescued dog.
